John Walker Model ‘Lolo Creek’ – 2017
John Walker is one of the finest master luthiers in the USA building his guitars out of his small workshop in Petty Creek, Montana. John was the exclusive luthier for many years with Gibson, before retiring to his own career of handcrafting some of the very finest high specification quality guitars today.
The craftsmanship of John’s work is truly outstanding and really must be seen to be appreciated.
This guitar was ordered personally by me in 2017 and is the only guitar built by John with these particular specifications. I asked for it to be built with 12th fret to the body and a slightly wider nut so ease of finger picking.
A guitar built using the highest grade solid adirondack red spruce top and finest grade cherry mahogany back and sides.
This is a fantastic guitar with incredible tone. A small bodied guitar with a big beautiful sound.
The label also has written ‘Bramlett Shoals’ (this is a river where I played as a child in Georgia USA) But the model is Lolo Creek. This is an ‘L’ size from the 1930s/40s.
This guitar has been played only a few times just to keep it healthy and is in the same beautiful condition as when it arrived – in excellent mint condition.
The case is also hand made hand – hand stitched of the very highest quality.
